Dear Diary,
Today was the day I faced my greatest fear, today was the day I rode the rollercoaster of emotions, today was the day I first attended my new school. After moving to the new city, a city where I knew no one except loneliness, and that too for so long that I accepted that as my reality until my dad enrolled me to the best school in the city, elated but anxious at the same time, I didn't know how to feel, I took a sigh and told myself that it was going to be fine, for I've never changed my school in my entire student career, I gave the entrance test and aced it but couldn't ace the confidence to go there, as its student, ever again, until yesterday, my heart was throbbing as I was packing my school bag, had a sleepless night filled with anxious thoughts but I made it till dusk. I woke up, and set off to the school, I stepped in the huge door with kids on all the sides, I went to my classroom, with a blank mind already exhausted by yesterday's crippling anxiety, but the smile, the warm smile of my class teacher made me feel at ease, it felt as if it was my mum's, I felt at home, thus, I faced my greatest fear, she was kind enough to be nice to me and made me feel comfortable. Now I realized that my grandmother's words were true, a warm smile can even make a foreigner in a new land feel at home. I'm tired after the long school day. I'll doze off now. Until tomorrow!
