Yes,the khilafat movement was also a cause for the birth of noncooperation movement because of the following reasons:-
-the Khalifa was diprived of any real power /authority over his territory (Ottoman empire) which was defeated in the WWI by Europeans.
-Khalia was the spiritual leader of Islamic world and was defeated to his temporal power which gave the motivation to form Khilafat committee.
-the leaders began to discuss this with Gandhiji about a unified Khilafat movement.
- Gandhiji saw this as a opportunity to unite hindus and Muslims and proposed the start of non cooperation movement in the Calcutta session of Congress in September 1920.
