Kyoto protocol was international treaty signed by keeping in view the increasing green house gases because of which depletion of ozone layer and other problems arises. Main aim of Kyoto protocol was to reduce green house emissions both in developed and developing countries.
Under Kyoto protocol most developed countries except US commited to achieve target by cutting GHGs. Countries like New Zealand, Canada, Austria and Luxembourg achieved success but countries in Europe couldn't achieve success.
Overall result in global emission showed no sign of slowing down. So Kyoto protocol was just a failure.
