washing soda has formula Na2Co3.10H2o what mass of anhydrous sodium carbonate is left when all the water of crystallization is expelled by heating 57.2gm of washing soda.

According to question:-

Molar mass of Na2CO3.10H2O=286

Molar mass 10H2O=180

So,

286 g washing soda contain water of crystallization =180g

then,

57.2 g of washing soda contain=180/286*57.2

=35.999

Left mass of sodium carbonate =57.2-35.9999

=>21.2g
