The formula of washing soda is Na2CO3.10H2O

On standing it loses its water of crystalisation and becomes Na2CO3. 

Gram Molecular Weight of one mole of washing soda (Na2CO3.10H2O) = 286 g

Weight of water lost from one mole of washing soda due to standing = 10 x 18

                                                                                                             =180 g

Percentage loss in weight = (180÷286) x 100

                                          = 62.94%
