Wasim bought two cricket bats for ₹ 840 and ₹ 720 respectively. He sells the first bat at a gain

of 15% and the second one at a loss of 10 %. Find his gain or loss per cent in the whole

transaction​

                                  =\frac{115}{100} *840\\

                                  =966

CP of second bat = rs720

then sp on 10% gain = \frac{100-10}{100} *720

                                  = \frac{90}{100} *720

                                  = 648

cp of both bat = 840+720

                        = 1560

sp of both bat = 966+648

                        = 1614

gain = 1614-1560=54

gain% = \frac{54}{1560} *100 =\frac{5400}{1560} =  3.46% approx
