Waste management or Waste disposal is all the activities and actions required to manage waste from its inception to its final disposal.[1]This includes amongest other things, collection, transport, treatment and disposal of waste together with monitoring and regulation. It also encompasses the legal and regulatory framework that relates to waste management encompassing guidance on recycling etc.

The term normally relates to all kinds of waste, whether generated during the extraction of raw materials, the processing of raw materials into intermediate and final products, the consumption of final products, or other human activities,[1] including municipal (residential, institutional, commercial), agricultural, and social (health care, household hazardous waste, sewage sludge).[2] Waste management is intended to reduce adverse effects of waste on health, the environment or aesthetics.

Waste management practices are not uniform among countries (developed and developing nations); regions (urban and rural area), and sectors (residential and industrial).[3]

yes the following statement is true that waste management can help in improving the health status of our country. This can be explained as follows.
if our government increases steps taken for the waste management it is lot helpful for the recycling companies to be able to reach out to people who are in much need. waste management also helps preventing breeding of many insects like dengue mosquitoes, etc....... if our society is well aware of the waste management then there is much less chances of getting continously sick due to small diseases. by waste management we are taking care of the asset of the coming future and hence are contributing a bigger step towards improving the status of our country in front of other countries who have already been exposed due to these steps.
