Wastewater management refers to the process of implementing action plans for the proper disposal of wastewater—water that's affected in quality because of human consumption. It usually involves procedures like planning, investigation and design-related processes. There are three main kinds of wastewater being managed in this development: (a) blackwater - wastewater coming from toilets and urinals; filled with human excreta, (b) greywater - wastewater from sinks, baths, laundries and kitchens and (c) sewage - a mixture of both greywater and blackwater. If managed properly, these wastewaters will be transformed into effluent, a resource which can be reused under some situations.
Currently, there are professional consulting firms that offer wastewater management reports to different clients, ranging from residential site owners to industrial site managers. Mostly, these specialists are trained to conduct reports about different wastewater technologies such as septic tanks, sand filters, irrigation systems, absorption trenches, evapotranspiration beds, mounds, biolytix, nutrient removal systems, greywater disposal and reuse systems.
