Mesophyll cells of leaves contain Chloroplast. Mesophyll cells have a thick layer of soft cells containing chloroplast. It lies between the epidermal layers of a plant leaf.
A green pigment chlorophyll is present in chloroplasts. It traps light energy. The energy used in the food-making process called Photosynthesis. The central mesophyll tissues made up of Vascular Bundles.
Photosynthesis takes place in the mesophyll.
