Hi

ISOTOPES

These are the group of elements which have the same atomic no. but have different mass no.

FOR EG

C14,C13 and C12     WHERE  carbon has at no. 6 in the three cases

O14 and O16            where    oxygen has at no. 8 in both cases

ISOBARS

These are the group of elements which have the same mass no. but different atomic nos.

FOR EG

C14 and N14       where carbon and nitrogen have same mass no. but different         atomic no.

O14 and N14    where oxygen and nitrogen have same mass no. but different atomic no.

HOPE THIS HELPS!!

Isotopes

two elements having same atomic number but different mass number are called isotopes.

e.g-protium(H)having one as atomic no. and one as atomic mass.,deuterium(H) having 1 as atomic no. and 2 as atomic mass, tritium(H) having 1 as atomic no. and 3 as atomic mass.

Isobars

element having same mass number but different atomic number.

e.g- (Ca) having 20 as atomic no. and 40 as atomic mass. (Ar) having 18 as atomic no. and 40 as atomic mass
