 \huge\tt\purple{Answer:}

The immediate cause of the WW1 was the murder of archduke Ferdinand who was the heir of throne of Austria. He and his wife was killed by a Serbian. The Austrian held Govt. Of Serbia responsible for the murder and ultimately attacked Serbia.

The other main cause was Anglo-German Rivalry. Germany had become a great industrial country and wanted to have more markets for its trade and was jealous of England's Naval and colonial influence in various countries like India. Then German emperor, William ii was haughty and ambitious and wanted Germany to be most powerful in rest of Europe.This gave rise to rivalry between England and Germany

The other causes were :

  • Narrow nationalism
  • Militarism
  • Imperialism
  • Lack of organisations like UNO
