Answer:
I argue for this statement.
Wathing television has an adverse affect on children. Over the years modern technology has developed immensley especially during the past half century. Mobile phones and television have become a vital part of our life. They are found in almost every houseand have become a main source of entertainment. The use of television is fine when watched little by little. But the excessive use of television affects the mind and sucks out the sense of creativity in the child. It badly affects eye sight and makes you lazy. Roald Dahl also has the same prespective. He has once said:
IT ROTS THE SENSE IN THE HEAD!
IT KILLS IMAGINATION DEAD!
IT CLOGS AND CLUTTERS UP THE MIND!
IT MAKES A CHILD SO DULL AND BLIND
HE CAN NO LONGER UNDERSTAND
A FANTASY, A FAIRYLAND!
HIS BRAIN BECOMES AS SOFT AS CHEESE!
HIS POWERS OF THINKING RUST AND FREEZE!
HE CANNOT THINK -- HE ONLY SEES!
In this debate, i do not saythat we should completly ban the production of television, but instead onlyrestrict the child to watch fora little time and if they are so desparate for entertainment, they should just read a book.
