'Water absorbed by the roots reaches the leaves and is used in producing food for the entire plant."This statement is true as xylem carries the water absorbed from roots to leaves which is used by it. Then it is transported to all parts of the plant.

hope it helps......

Hi friend ...

plant always need water to produce food and to grow into healthy plant. Plant make their own food by the process of photosynthesis. Water is absorbed by the soil and then by roots and to the plant . However to reach the leaves where photosynthesis takes place and water directly move upward to the top of the plant .

from this we understood that this statement is true
