Water cannot be used for separation of charcoal and sulphur but carbon disulphide can?

Water can't be used to separation of charcoal and sulphur because sulphur as well as water both are insoluble in water
Whereas sulphur is soluble in carbon disulphide and thus can be separated by evaporation.
