In the water covalent bond is present as well as the hydrogen bond.when we add the sugar in water, sugar molecules are divided into small pieces, developing the forces of attraction between water molecules and sugar molecules. This changes it's orientation in such a way that negative part of water attracts the positive part of sugar and vice-versa.
When we mix the sugar in water it's taste is change and become sweet because sugar has been mixed in with the water and become a part of it this reaction can't be reverse.Because sugar form a homogeneous solution.
