water doesnt provide nutrients it is true but still it is an component of food because

*Most stirring it dissolves the minerals and nutrients in it and thus helps to facilitate transeport of these nutrients efficiently.

*It also dissolves the wastes of our body and helps excreation.

*it helps in the transport of carbondioxide in our body

*Helps to maintain our body temperature.

*It helps to absorb nutrient from the foods.

* It makes us healthy by preventing our body cells from shrinkage
