Let drop 1,2,3,4 be A,B,C,D respectively.
We can think that all the rainfdrops fall in straight line
One end of the line segment is represented by drop A and other end is represented by drop D.
Distance between them is 9 m.
The drops B and C will trisect the line segment AD.
So the position of B = 1/3of9 = 1/3*9=3 m
Position of drop C = 2/3of9= 2/3*9=2*3=6m
