We can use linear motion equations to solve this problem.

Given :

    S = height  of the tap = 180m

    u = staring velocity of the drop = 0

    a = acceleration due to gravity = 10 m/s²

Let t = time interval between two consecutive drops.

     T = time to travel 180m = 6t

For 1st drop,

        S = uT + (1/2)aT^{2}

      180 = 0 + (1/2)*10*(6t)^{2}

      180 = (1/2)*10*36t^{2}

        36 = 36t^{2}

           1 = t^{2}

           t = 1 s

time interval between two consecutive drops = 1 second
