Water falls from a height of 60m at the rate of 15kg/s to operate a turbine.the losses are to friction are 10% of input energ.how much power is generater by the turbine.also find its efficiency.

=> 90% the of the energy is used to turn the turbine.

=> So the power generated in the turbine is = 0.9 × (change in PE of the water per second)

=> 0.9 × 15 × 10 × 60 = 8100 watt.
