π * r ^2 * height = 240000 cc (considering π=3.14) the height of the water column in cylinder would be :

Height = 240000 / (3.14* 20^2) or...

240000/3.14*20*20 = 191.082 centimeters.

Therefore the height of water column in cylinder would be : 191.082 centimeters or 1.91082=meters.
