Time taken(min) = Volume of tank/Volume of water flowing in 1 hr
Volume of tank = π(3.5)²(3600cm)
Volume of water flowing through the pipe in 1hr = π(35)²(100cm)

∴ Time taken = π(3.5)²3600/π(35)²100
                   t  =  35/9
                   t  = 3.888 mins

The time is 0.166667 minute.

Explanation:

Inner diameter = 7 cm

Speed = 36 m/hr

Radius = 35 cm

Height = 1 m

We need to calculate the rate of water flow

Using formula of rate of flow water

rate\ of\ flow\ water=36\ m/hr

rate\ of\ flow\ water=36\times\dfrac{5}{18}\ m/hr

rate\ of\ flow\ water=10\ m/s

rate\ of\ flow\ water=1000\ cm/s

We need to calculate the volume of water in 1 sec

V_{w}=\pi\times r^2\times h

V_{w}=\pi\times(\dfrac{7}{2})^2\times1000

We need to calculate the volume of tank

V_{t}=\pi\times r^2\times h

V_{t}=\pi\times(35)^2\times100

We need to calculate the time

Using formula of time

t=\dfrac{V_{t}}{V_{w}}

Put the value into the formula

t=\dfrac{\pi\times(35)^2\times100}{\pi\times(\dfrac{7}{2})^2\times1000}

t=10\ second

t=0.166667\ min

Hence, The time is 0.166667 minute.
