Water from three cubic tanks each of edge 10 dm long are poured in another larger drum to fill it fully. Find the volume of the larger tank.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Answer:-

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Given:

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

▪Edge of cubic tank = 10dm

▪Volume of 3 cubic = Volume of larger tank

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

To Find:

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

▪Volume of larger tank

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Solution

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Volume of 1 cubic tank

= {(Side)}^{3}

= {10}^{3}

= 1000 {dm}^{3}

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Volume of larger tank

= Volume of 3 cubic tank

= 3 × volume of cubic tank

= 3 × 1000

= 3000{dm}^{3}

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Formula to be remembered:-

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

▪Volume of cube = Side × side × side

▪Volume of cuboid = l × b × h

▪Volume of cylinder = \pi{r}^{2}h
