Answer: Water is a charged molecule

Explanation:

Water has a slight negative charge on its oxygen atom and a slight positive charge on both its hydrogen atoms. Due to this, whenever an ionic compound is added in water, it’s anion is attracted towards towards the positively charged hydro of the water molecule, and the cation is attracted towards the oxygen atom, thus separating the charges.

charged ions from their ionic state because when an ionic is dissolved in water the ions get attracted by the water molecules which leads to the dissociation of ionic compound.
