area of cross section of the canal = 30 * 12 = 360 m²
velocity of water = 10 km / h = 10000 m / h
therefore in one hour volume of water flowing through the canal = 10000 * 360 = 3600000 m³
height of water required = 16 cm = 0.16 m
therefore area irrigated in one hour = 3600000 / 0.16 = 22500000 m²
velocity of water = 10 km / h = 10000 m / h
therefore in one hour volume of water flowing through the canal = 10000 * 360 = 3600000 m³
height of water required = 16 cm = 0.16 m
therefore area irrigated in one hour = 3600000 / 0.16 = 22500000 m²
