Volume of water flowing in 30 min = 3 × 1.2 × 10000 × 30 / 60 = 18000 cubic m

Area irrigated = 18000 / 0.08
= 225000 sq. m

Hope this helps!!!
Plsss make it the brainliest!!!

Given:

Measurement of canal = 3m wide and 1.2m deep

Speed = 10km/hr

Time = 30 minutes

Standing water = 8cm

To Find:

Area that will be irrigated

Solution:

Speed = 10km/hr, converting it into m/h

= 10,000

Time = 30 mins = 0.5h

Standing water required = 8cm = 0.08m

Let the area be = xm²

Calculating -

= 1.2 × 3 × 10,000  × 0.5 h = x × 0.08

= 18000 = x × 0.08

x = 18000/0.08

= 225000

Answer: The area that will be irrigated is 225000m²
