Water is indeed one f the most valuable resources on our planet without which life would cease to exist. The following are two very simple ways that can be adopted by our family members to save water:
1. Get all leaking taps in the house repaired. By constantly dripping water, such taps and pipes waste hundreds of liters of water every year. Getting them repaired can be a great way to save a LOT of water while also reducing your water bill!
2. Use a bucket instead of a shower when bathing. Buckets ensure less water is used. Similarly, use a bucket when washing your car rather than using a hose that wastes a lot of water.

INTRODUCTION:
Water is an important natural resource and it is called as universal solvent.Out of all the water on earth, salt water in oceans, seas and saline groundwater about 97%,only 2.5-2.75% is fresh water, including 1.75-2% frozen in glaciers, ice and snow;0.7-0.8%as fresh water and soil moisture and less than 0.01% of it is surface water in lakes, swamps and rivers.
So we have to conserve water even for future generations.
These are the different methods that every family members can implement to conserve water to some extent:
1.Follow 5R's principle-Reduce,Reuse,Recycle,Refuse and recover.
.Reduce-Minimize the usage of water eg;use buckets while bathing instead of showers, use mugs during face wash, repairing leaking taps etc.
.Reuse-Usage of same water for other purpose eg; water used for washing rice ,vegetables and vessels washing can be reused for irrigating plants.
.Recycle-Water is a renewable resource category (which can be regenerate).eg;sewage water can be treated in sewage treatment plant and can be re- utilized for many purposes.
.Refuse-Refuse to avoid waste of water eg;During festival time especially Holi -using ecofreindly colours so that it does not take utilize more water for cleaning etc
.Recover-Water can be recycled by using sewage treatment plant eg;industrial waste firstly treated and send back to water bodies.
By implementing on these ,we can conserve water to some extend and at the same time creating awareness in the commmunity.
