Water is clear and colorless. Why, when I splash it on a towel, does the color of the towel darken?

Water is clear and colourless because all except a tiny bit of blue are reflected back.since Water reflects all colours together it looks colourless.when you splash it on a towel the colour of towel is not darken

Water has properties of attractions right.
So when it is applied on the towel, the surface area which is expanded on the dry towel gets close or small due to the water closing them together. That's why some people you may hear saying that the clothes shrinks to size
