so Volume of water discharged is = speed of water flow x cross-section

so cross-section area (A) = 3.2 cm²

speed (S) = 5m/s = 500 cm/s

so A x S = 1600 cm³/sec

so the volume of water discharged in cm³/s = 1600 cm³/sec

so 1000 cm³ = 1 L

so 1600 cm³ = 1600/1000 = 1.6 L

so flow in L/s is 1.6 L /s
