cuboidal pond which is 50m long and 44m wide. In what time will the level of water in the
pond rise by 21cm?

Step-by-step explanation:

Rate of water flow = 15 km/hr. or 15(1000)(100) cm / hr

= 1500000 cm/hr.

radius of pipe = 7cm

So, Volume of water flowing per hour = 1500000* 2*22/7*7

= 6,60,00,000cm cube.

Cuboidal tank

Length = 50m = 5000cm

Breadth = 44m = 4400cm

Height = 21cm

Now, volume of cuboidal tank = 5000*4400*21

= 46200000cm cube.

Time required = volume of cuboidal tank/ volume of water flown out of pipe per hour

= 462000000/66000000

= 7 hours.

Hope it helps you!.
