Step-by-step explanation:

vol³ of the pipe= πr²h

let 0.7m = 70cm be the height as that much water comes out every second.

= (22/7)× (1cm)²× 70cm

= 220cm³/sec

when it continues for 1/2 hour, we have

220cm³/s× (60×30)s= 396000cm³( 1 min = 60 sec)(30min = 30×60)

Radius of the tank= 40 cm

vol³= πr²h

396000cm³= (22/7)× 40cm×40cm×h

h=( 3960cm×7)/22×16= 78.75cm
