Water is flowing through a horizontal pipe of varying
Cross-section. If the pressure of water equals 2 cm of
mercury, where the velocity of the flow is 32cm , what
as the pressure at another point where the velocity of flow
is 65 cm s-1.

1.9 cm of Hg
since the pipe is horizontal, the heights h1 = h2 and they get cancelled in the Bernoulli's Equation
secondly, for the water Dennisty is 1 g/cc..hence
P1 + 1/2(v1)^2 = P2 + 1/2(v2)^2
2*13.6*980- h2*13.6*980= 1/2 (65^2 - 32^2)
h2 = 2 - (1600.5) / (13.6*980)
h2 = 2 - 0.12 = 1.88 (~1.9)
therefore the pressure decreases to 1.9 cm of Hg
Note
1) density of Hg = 13.6g/cc
2) P = hdg
