Answer:

Amount of workdone is 12250 jule.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Mass of water, M= 20 kg

And mass of rope per metre,m= 0.2 kg

Water is lifted from a well,l = 50 m

Let work done be w

We know,

w = Mgl + mg  \times \frac{l}{2}

Here g is gravitational force

w = 20 \times 9.8 \times 50 + 10 \times 9.8 \times 25

w = 20 \times  \frac{98}{10}  \times 50 \ + 10 \times  \frac{98}{10}  \times 25

w = 20 \times 98 \times 5 + 98 \times 25

w = 9800 + 2450

w = 12250 \: jule

Amount of workdone is 12250 jule.
