water is not suitable for establishing fires involving electrical equipments because water,oil,petrol conducts electric current. So when we try to put out electrical fire using water we may get an electric shock which can even led to our death. Hope it helps you.....

The main reason is the risk of electrocution.
Water is conductive in nature and hence the electricity in the equipment could reach the extinguisher (the person dousing the fire using water) and can electrocute him/her.
To put an electrical fire out, you want to unplug or de-energise the equipment on fire. That will eliminate the electricity that is causing the fire. If you cannot unplug what is burning there is a special type of fire extinguisher that you can use.
So water ain't used in these situations...
