water is not suitable for extinguishing fires involving electrical equipment oil petrol. why?

here is your answer.

In the case of electrical fire we cannot use water because it conducts electricity and can give us a shock.

and oil and petrol are lighter than water ,so the flow on the surface of water and fire is still there.
