Water is not to be used to control fire involving electrical equipments

Water conducts electricity easily.So,if used to control an electric fire,it will only make matters worse,putting firemen in danger of electrocution.CO2 extinguishers work better.

Water is a conductor of electricity, so it can easily conduct electric current and cause danger of electric shocks or short-circuits. Therefore, water can not be used to control the fire involving electrical equipment.
