Explanation:

Polar liquid means it has high bonding affinity, whereas non-polar means it has less bonding affinity. When we add water which is polar in nature and oil which is non polar in nature in same container, both the liquid doesn’t mix with each other.

It forms a heterogeneous mixture in which the oil is seen floating on surface of  water.
