Rate of flow of water = 60 litres/minute
Volume of the tank = 108 m3
1 m3 = 1000 litres
108 m3= 108000 litres
Time taken to fill the complete tank = 108000/60 = 1800 minutes = 1800/60 hours = 30 hours
The tank will be filled completely in 30 hours.

Answer:

It will take 30 hours to fill the reservoir.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: volume of reservoir = 108 m^3

Rate of pouring water into cuboidal reservoir = 60 liters/minute

                                                                                 = 60/1000 m^3/minute           [1l = 1/1000 m^3]

                                                                                 = (60 * 60)/1000 m^3/hour

Since  (60 * 60)/1000 m^3 water filled in reservoir will take = 1 hour

So, 1 m3 water filled in reservoir will take = 1000/(60 * 60) hours

So, 108 m3 water filled in reservoir will take = (1000 * 108)/(60 * 60) hours

                                                                              = 30 hours

It will take 30 hours to fill the reservoir.
