SOLUTION.

Given, the volume of the cuboidal reservoir = 108 m³

We know that 1 m³ = 1000 liters

Therefore, the volume of the cuboidal reservoir in liters = 108 × 1000 = 108000 litres

Water is pouring into the reservoir at the rate of 60 litres per minute.

Let the time taken to fill the reservoir be t minutes.

Total volume of water poured into the reservoir in t minutes = 60t litres

According to the problem,

60t = 108000

60t = 108000t = 108000/60

60t = 108000t = 108000/60t = 1800 minutes

Therefore, the time taken to fill the reservoir is 1800 minutes = 30 hours.
