Water is projected from two rubber
pipes at the same speed-from one
at an angle of 30° and from the
other at 60°. Why are the ranges
equal?​

Formula for horizontal range of a projectile motion is,

R = u² sin(2Ø)/g

And,

  • sin2(30) = sin 60° = √3/2
  • sin 2(60) = sin(120°) = sin(90° + 30°) = cos(30°) = √3/2

So, Horizontal ranges are equal.
