Groundwater itself can be broken down into ground + water. As it is underground, some very minute particles of dust mix with it. Also, we don't know since when the water has been underground so when layers get deposited, the taste is affected. If there is:
- Calcium - the water taste will taste milky
- Magnesium - the water will taste bitter
- Sodium - the water will taste salty
