sangamkumar20pcxfdn: glass is transparent and you can see it... why
maitri24: photons pass through glass with the help of photons we can able to see the glass
sangamkumar20pcxfdn: thanks
maitri24: welcome
keshav5060: it also absorbs some light so we see a glass
maitri24: yes you are right

keshav5060: you are also wrong

Hey there!

Water partially reflect and partially transmit the light.
When water is filled in glass vessel ,it looks total transparent from the side view because of transmission of light . But if you look from the top view, You will able to see your own face slightly because the upper water surface reflect some of the light and you will also able to see the bottom of the vessel because water transmit (refract) some of the light up to bottom , then bottom surface reflects the light.

Hope this helps you!
Cheers!

With regards,
Keerthana.

keshav5060: how something can reflect and refract light at the same time
keshav5060: I think due to absorption of light
maitri24: yes you are right
maitri24: Good one
