Water keeps cool in earthen pitchers during summer but does not cool well in rainy season.
Why? PLEASE GIVE ME THE ANSWER QUICKLY.

Water keeps cool in earthen pitchers during summer but not cool well in rainy season because the earthen pitchers works on the principles of evaporation.When water is poured into the earthen pitcher,a small part of water poured exists through the pores on the pitcher and then evaporates from the surface of the pitcher ,thus making the pitcher more cooler than before.For evaporation to take place ,water should get converted into vapours which occurs only during hot sunny days.

As, heat is in less amount in rainy days,thus water did not gets converted into vapours and thus,the water did not become   cool as that it becomes in summer.

Water looses its temperature through small pores present in the pot. Hence in an earthen pot (matka) become cool during summer.
