Water logging is a phenomenon in which the 'root zone of a plant become saturated'. Thus the soil cannot absorb water in to it and this causes floods and even the plant to come out of the loose soil.
Water-logging is, however, caused mainly because of manmade factors like deforestation and poor upkeep of watersheds, building roads, bridges etc.,
