oceans water is saline which is not suitable for the use of living organisms... out of the total water available on earth, only 3% freshwater...a large proportion of the freshwater is found in underground water and locked up in glaciers and ice caps.... does the freshwater form that is available for the use of living organism is very less in quantity (less than 1%).. hence it is very important to conserve water so that it can be available to all living organism....
