Water pollution is a type of pollution in which the water becomes polluted due to discharge of impurities and becomes unsafe for using.
Water pollution is caused due to discharge of pollutant from factories and many other industries, accumulation and disposal of sewage etc in water
Water polluting causes water borne diseases which are harmful for human health. It also leads to formation of harmful microorganisms like virus, bacteria, fungi etc. It also affects the fish population in the water. Many rivers are becoming polluted due to disposal of wastes such as Ganges.
We can prevent it by introducing prevention methods like decrease in the use and disposal of plastic, decrease in the no.of factories, control the waste disposal etc.
