Dear Editor:

The anti-Sowell letters just keep coming. I was almost fooled by one that said that Sowell told a “big lie” about the post office’s fiscal problems. But it only took a couple of minutes searching on the Internet, including USPS’s own website, to discover that it was the letter writer and not Sowell that was twisting the facts. I guess there is a reason that it is called the “opinion” page rather than the “fact” page.

Subject: Scarcity And Irregular Supply Of Water

Respected Sir,

Through the columns of your esteemed daily newspaper, I woul like to highlight the problem of scarcity of water in this locality.

For the last three weeks the water supply has been very irregular. Due to shortage of water the residents are having a hard time to meet their basic needs. Some people are being compelled to buy water at extremely high rates brought from other places. The residents have written to the concerned department and authorities. But still the situation has not changed and the crisis of water shortage continues.

Therefore, I earnestly request the PHE, the Municipal Corporation, as well as the higher authorities to urgently look into the matter. The people of this city don't deserve to go through this kind of hardship. So, regular supply of water must restored at the earliest.

Yours sincerely,

Bishwas Choudhury
