The displacement-equation of a y=1.5 sin (6280t-12.56x). Determine the frequency of the wave.​

Comparing with the standard equation of a progressive wave.

We have, a=1.5cm,ω=328 rad s−1,k=1.27 rad cm−1

Therefore, amplitude=1.5cm

Angular frequency (ω)=2πT

328=2πT

⇒T=2π328=2×3.14328=0.019s

Frequency v=1T=3282π=3286.28=52.23Hz

Further K=1.27 rad cm−1

⇒λ=2π1.27=2×3.141.27=4.94cm
