when electrons move from higher energy level to lower energy level, photons are emitted and wavelength of emitted photons can be seen in the spectral line.

we know, photons are moving with speed of light in vaccum.

it means, when the wavelength of a spectral line of Cesium is 460nm.

then, frequency of the line can be given by, speed of light in vaccum/wavelength of spectral line of Cesium.

here, speed of light in vaccum = 3 × 10^8 m/s and wavelength of spectral line of Cesium = 460nm = 460 × 10^-9

so, frequency = 3 × 10^8/(460 × 10^-9)

= 0.006521 × 10^17 Hz

= 6.521 × 10¹⁴ Hz.
