Way to identify "akarmak" and "sakarmak kriya" ?

Akarmak kriya and sakarmak kriya are the types of kriya ( verb ) in Hindi grammar. Sometimes it may be confusing to find it..Actually, it can be determined by the "कर्म" ( object ) in a sentence. If there is any then its called सकर्मक क्रिया.


Another trick is that, by raising questions the kind of "क्रिया" can be found.

For finding सकर्मक क्रिया, questions with क्या and किसको can be asked.

For example a sentence like -

रिता ने सखी को पत्र लिखा

> क्या लिखा - पत्र
> किसको लिखा - सखी को

And if you get any answer then it means that goes in Sakarmak kriya

We can easily identify sakarmak kriya by making it a question using the words क्या, किसे if the questions are answered it means it is sakarmak kriya. Eg: शीखा संतरा खाती है. क्या खाती है।

The words used for akarmak kriya are उठना, बैठना, डूबना, जागना, तैरना, रोना, दौड़ना, नहाना आदि।
