How to read the history of India and what are the books available?

If you are a beginner then you should first start with NCERT-BOOKS of history from std 6th to 12th. Then, for ancient India you can read DN Jha. For Medevial India you can read Satish Chandra's book. For modern you can follow Bipin Chandra's modern India.
